Introduction to Ghost Pages and Earning Potential

For millions of views to thousands of dollars, ghost pages are making people rich at a younger age than any other time in history. I’m literally 17, I haven’t graduated high school yet, and I’ve made well over $200,000 off of a single ghost page. I’m not even near the top—there are other teens out there making more than $500,000 off of their ghost pages. But before all of this, I’m going to show you how it started and how I made my first $88,000 off of a YouTube Shorts ghost page.

What Is a Ghost Page?

A ghost page is literally any page on social media that monetizes views in some way while not revealing the owner’s true identity. Different types of ghost pages have popped up recently, such as TikTok clipping, YouTube faceless channels, organic dropshipping, and all those other names. But at the end of the day, all of those business models are essentially under the same umbrella of ghost pages.

The Main Purpose of Ghost Pages

The main purpose of a ghost page is to monetize views and engagement in some way or another—whether through ad revenue, sponsorship deals, selling info products, selling physical products, software, etc. All of these business models fall under ghost pages.

My Experience with Ghost Pages

Personally, I have experienced running multiple ghost pages on one YouTube Shorts account, one YouTube long-form, and three TikToks. I just started two new ghost pages on TikTok last week, and I’ve already hit 100,000 views on one TikTok account and 250,000 views on the other. Since I’m actively running two out of my three accounts on TikTok and my long-form YouTube page, I can’t show those exact channels, but you can check out Trend Q on YouTube Shorts, since I don’t actively run those channels anymore. Even with knowledge from ghost pages, I’ve been able to blow up my personal Instagram account since all of the skills are the same across content.

Best Platform to Start Ghost Pages: YouTube Shorts

Since most of you are beginners and just want to find the best way to start making a few thousand per month as fast as possible, I highly recommend getting into ghost pages on YouTube Shorts and making money through ad revenue at first.

My First $8,000 with YouTube Shorts

Back in 2022, I made my first $8,000 with a YouTube Shorts ghost page for 121 million views. But recently, YouTube released a new program that now pays anywhere between 10 to 30 cents per thousand views. If I were to get those same 121 million views today, that would have amounted to over $12,000 to $36,000 in ad revenue—again, only for Shorts.

The Advantages of YouTube Shorts

The good thing about Shorts is that the videos you produce can be totally free. Since they’re so short, you can actually make them yourself, or if you still want to hire people, you can find people for really cheap. The best thing I think about starting a ghost page on YouTube Shorts is that YouTube gives you the best analytics so you can learn the fundamentals of the algorithm better than any other platform since you have a lot more data on YouTube.

A lot of people say they have a hard time finding a good niche to enter, but if you do a little bit of research like google it there are so many website that will provide a data then you can select it or weather take and idea from it

The Importance of Staying in Your Niche

A tip you should know is that once you select a niche, you should stay relatively in the same niche. With my Trend Q’s ghost page, I didn’t know any better at the time, so I mixed a Nikocado Avocado niche with random facts and a bunch of different niches. While I got millions of views with these topics, slowly the algorithm got super confused on who to recommend my content to, which lowered my views and is partly the reason why I stopped posting on this page.

Monetizing Your Ghost Page

One of the most common things people encounter when running ghost pages is how to actually get monetized when you’re stealing other people’s content. The answer is pretty simple—you just have to repurpose the content that you stole. But now it doesn’t become stealing because you’re supposed to add your own spin to it.

Adding Your Spin to Content

This could be by adding your own voiceover, original script, adding music, text, showing multiple different clips, etc. I personally don’t recommend the text-to-speech features on AI platforms because they sound so robotic and get picked up by the flagging system. If you don’t like the sound of your own voice, you can hire a voice actor for cheap or use your own voice and put it through a speech-to-speech feature.

How to Go Viral on YouTube Shorts

Now, we move on to actually learning how to go viral and replicate the virality. You could be the best in the niche, but if you don’t know how to go viral, then you’re not going to make any money at all. So the number one thing that allows you to go viral with Shorts and start making real money is first knowing how to come up with viral topics.

If a video topic did well in long-form content, it’s highly likely it can work as a short. You can take inspiration from popular long-form videos, condense them into a short form, and post them as your own.

Analyzing Competitors and Improving Your Shorts

It’s key to analyze your competitors’ popular videos and learn how to make better, more engaging versions. If someone has already made a short on the topic, you can still add value by improving the content or making it more engaging.

When creating viral shorts, the script and editing play a significant role. Use hooks and contrasting visuals to keep viewers engaged and make your content stand out.

Optimizing Analytics for Success

Track important analytics like average view duration (AVD) and view rate. Optimizing these metrics is key to improving your content’s performance and increasing its chances of going viral.

Learning from Other Platforms

Another way to look for viral topics is by checking other platforms like Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. If a topic went viral on one platform, it’s likely to perform well on YouTube Shorts too.
